Software for the decisions people only get one shot at.
STAGGSOFT is a New Zealand and Australian software group. We build software that helps people and businesses make smarter decisions about the things that matter most to them — starting with what is inside their homes.
We close the information gaps that cost both sides.
Most of the friction between a business and its customers comes from missing information. Somebody is asked for a number they do not have. Somebody else has to verify it later, usually at the worst possible time.
We build software that closes those gaps before they matter. KEEEP is the first application of that idea. It will not be the last. More about STAGGSOFT →
Almost every contents policy starts with a guess.
A household is asked for a single number: what are your contents worth? Very few people have ever counted. The number they give is an estimate, and nobody — the policyholder or the insurer — finds out whether it was right until a claim is made.
What it costs the policyholder
They are underinsured without knowing it. After a fire or a burglary they are asked to list what they lost, from memory, at the worst moment of their lives. Claims stall, items are disputed, and settlements fall short of what was actually in the house.
What it costs the insurer
The book is priced against estimates rather than assets. Straightforward claims still absorb assessor and investigator time because nothing was documented before the loss, and disputes over sums insured are a recurring source of complaints.
Photograph, value, verify.
KEEEP is a mobile application that walks a policyholder through their home room by room, identifies items from their photographs, and builds an itemised inventory with replacement valuations. Insurers and brokers offer it to the policyholders they already have.
They walk a room and take photographs. No forms, no typing, no receipts to find.
Items are identified from the photographs and priced against current retail data, not guesswork.
The completed record leaves KEEEP as a structured itemised inventory the insurer can read.
KEEEP is in development and not yet available to download. We are seeking our first insurer and broker partners in New Zealand and Australia.

What the insurer or broker gets
A book of business that reflects what policyholders actually own, so risk is priced against a record.
A pre-loss inventory removes the reconstruction work, which lowers loss adjustment expense on claims that were never in doubt.
Reduces the underinsurance complaints that drive IFSO and AFCA cases, and makes inflated claims easier to identify.
KEEEP reaches your book directly. No consumer acquisition cost, and no direct-to-consumer channel competing with you.
Available to partners who would rather it carried their own brand.
What their policyholder gets
They can see what their contents are worth before they choose a sum insured.
A verified record of what they owned, so a claim does not depend on memory.
Their inventory goes to the insurer as a structured record, at the point they least want to be filling in forms.
